WOYWW...?

I'm trying something new out this week and joining, hopefully, a linky party called...
What's on your Workdesk Wednesday...so here is a current picture of my two work areas. The first is my paper crafting area:
 Then a close-up shot...
I just got some Pearl stuff this week and I've been playing around with it and using the distress inks to make my own background papers for cards. We'll see how that goes...so far I need some more practice. ;) Next up is my newly organized bow and jewelry creating station/desk. This previously held my sewing machine and all the do-dads that go with it, but last week amidst my "spring" cleaning I decided to switch the sewing center and the jewelry/bow center...after much work I am pleased to report that I'm very happy with how it turned out...all my stuff fits better now and is more convenient for me to use it, which hopefully means I make more stuff...
I love that jewelry bead tray but so far I haven't actually used it for its intended purpose! I'm just using it to keep track of beads I want to use soon and random lonely beads. I feel for them. I really do...
Now you can see what I stayed up until 4 A.M. last night doing...I made several bows and all that mess, plus some I actually cleaned up, and I am about ready to take them to the shop! Yeah! Hopefully they sell...here is a card I left at the shop last week:
Its so, um, adorable? The picture isn't very good though and that's why my next project is to build a lightbox. But check out my Cowgirls Rule bow...it also has pink tulle that I don't think the picture shows.
I'm pretty happy with my projects this week and I love my messy desks, too, for that matter. They mean I have been busy in my crafting cave and that's always a good thing! :)

    1. Thank you so much! It is quite a space, quite a blessing really. I didn't have this space until 2 years ago. Before that all my craft stuff had taken over the living room, in my old home, and it was very hard to craft. So happy in my craft cave now! :)
I'm glad you like the bunting card, too. Bunting is so much fun, I'm glad its popular right now...I was able to make that set from a new sizzix die, sweet huh?

    1. I love organizing, almost as much as crafting! Which means I'm constantly organizing my crafting stuff...for fun! The mess I make when creating doesn't even phase me, as long as I know where to find stuff and that it has a place to go back to when I'm done using it, then I'm a happy camper! :)

    1. Thanks for stopping in! The bow station came a little out of necessity...if I didn't start making bows quickly I wouldn't be able to buy anymore ribbon! So now I'm craftily using my supplies up...and stocking up a local gift/floral shop to boot! :)

  8. Welcome another Okie to WOYWW! I started way back when(WOYWW numbered in the 60's) but didn't get brave enough to post until WOYWW #84 and haven't regretted it ever! It is so addictive and informative that I stay up late on Tuesday to post. Hope to hear more from you. Love your desks and WOW there is a lot of creative goodness there to play with! Thanks for sharing and have a great week. Vickie #48

    1. Yah, WOW is usually the first comment my house visitors make when I let them peek into my craft cave! I have been very blessed with craft supplies but I've also been "collecting" supplies for several years now. I'm already looking forward to seeing people's desks next week so I think I'm well hooked on this WOYWW business! I'm actually eager to see what my own desk looks like next week, too. I'm thinking this will be a good way for me to keep track of what I'm up to and maybe help me get more done...maybe! :)

  9. Welcome to WOYWW! Lovely lovely sight for me, two desks and both telling crafty tales! Are the bows on barrettes? Lovely stuff, you are very patient I think, and also, far more nimble fingered than I!
I was all excited to see another Okie gal, but I see Vickie has already caught up with you. This is why I love WOYWW, it's made the internet world a smaller friendlier place!

    1. Thanks so much for hostessing the WOYWW linky party! Its been really fun so far and I'm pretty sure I'm hooked! Its kind of addicting to look at other crafters spaces and see what they are working on...
The bows are attached to metal backs that have both a clip and a pin so they can be worn in your hair or on your clothing, purse, pants, skirt or where ever you need some frilliness. I have several of them clipped on a curtain in my bedroom and they just girly the place right up! :-)

    1. Thank you for saying so! I've worked pretty hard on organizing it, hopefully attractively, but mostly to make crafting easier for myself so its a place I really love spending lots of time in, when I have the time that is...:)
