WOYWW #197 with mostly unfinished cards.

Hello lovely people! It's Wednesday again and time for What's on your workdesk! Find out all about it from the fabulous Julia at Stamping Ground. Here is my desk shot:
Do you spy new toys? :) Got the Clocks and Homespun dies on Ebay, I believe, for great prices and some others, not shown. I love Ebay! At the right times, of course. ;) I finally got the hexagon dies, that I have wanted for like forever, and a stamp set, but I got them at Artfire(great supplies/prices). I've already made several card bases with them! And I was going to show them to you, but finished cards are prettier so I'll wait. Here is one finished(I think?) card, though:
It will probably just be a hello or cheer up kind of card. Made it with Spellbinders dies and Paper Studio punches...speaking of Paper Studio, if you are near a Hobby Lobby they are getting in the new Spring/Summer stuff and WOW! Some super cute stuff in the embellishment line for sure and, over in the jewelry/bead department, they have a gorgeous new line already out, called Poetic something. Pretty! Next is a picture of the baggies I used in dying the flowers and ribbon last week. I saved the bags as they still had dye in them and just labeled them with a sharpie. They are sitting in my Sculpey baking pan, which I put inside a baking bag, when baking Sculpey, so I don't have to dedicate an oven to baking Sculpey. ;)
And that's all for now! Hopefully I'll get some cards finished and posted later this week, but I wouldn't bet on it since I have a big exam this week. And lots of housecleaning to do! :)

  1. I see someone has been doing some craft shopping. I too have been wanting to get the SB hexagon dies. I've been eying those HOTP stamps as well. I'm glad to see that I'm not the only person who keep the bags after doing some dying. Thanks for becoming a follower of my blog. #114

    1. I ended up buying both of them from Songbird Crafts on Artfire.com for a good price. If you haven't ever checked them out(they don't sponsor me or anything) they usually have some of the best prices online and the shipping isn't bad, either. It looks like it is but as you add stuff to your cart it doesn't go up very much at all. Plus, they usually have stuff I can't get locally or Joann's is out of or just doesn't have. Anyways, thanks for the comment! :)

    1. lol and ya, Sculpey is a brand of polymer clay. I buy others but the last time I baked clay it was some Bake-n-Bend to make a custom stamp for a lovely lady from the land down under. :) And thanks @the card and for leaving a comment. :)

  3. Hmmm, I like diamonds in my jewelry but in my cards...I'll have to google it and see what inspiration there is out there, or maybe you'll get it and make something fab with it and then I'll know what an awesome die it is, huh? lol :)

  4. Now that is one really great collection of goodies, love the hexagon dies and I can see why you wanted them. I love you card it is different and very pretty. I have a small portable oven for baking my art stuff in, it makes it easier then it stays in the craft room where I need it, but would never of thought to use a oven baggie what a clever idea. Oh and some dye left over, that needs to be sorted I am positive you have more ribbon around that you can use it on LOL. Oh and that yellow stamp is waiting in the side lines for me to use it, I so love that stamp it is perfect, I am working at the moment the formula 1 racing cars are in town and it is one really busy and noisy week. boo hoo I want to play.

    Hugs heaps Eliza

    1. Thanks for the comment Eliza...Sorry you didn't get to play right off the bat, but I know you'll make time soon and have some lovely awesome new cards and creations to show off! :) I would love a dedicated clay oven but I just don't have the space, well, I mean I am using the space for other crafty goodies. ;)

  5. Awesome looking desk this week! Love all the new dies and stamps I am such a hoarder of these things...actually if you use them your not a hoarder right? The OU bookstore and maybe the one at OSU has art supplies relatively inexpensive. Check it out! DID you know I am a graduate of the OSU college of Engineering? {{giggle}} graduated 1975 OSUTI School of Nursing and that is the college that signed of on the degree! OMG! have a great week. 1. How funny! Wonder why they do it that way? Hmm, well hope you are having a fab week, so far. Enjoying a Spring Break getaway by any chance? Or the lack of college kids? We went to Stillwater Saturday evening and it was a little emptied out. But its just gotten so big that there was still plenty of traffic. I went to OSU for one year. I was really too young for it, they disinvited me back for the next year! lol :) See ya 'round the net!

    1. I thought you, in particular, might enjoy that tip. I get your blog posts in my e-mail and so I know you bake clay quite often. And now you know what to do if your dedicated oven goes out and you don't want to buy a new one just yet. :D
