WOYWW #151

What's on your workdesk? Wednesday...stop by there and check other desks! And I have something new to show you this week. My sewing cabinet! It's in the living room, it totally outgrew my craft room. First I'll show you pictures of the inside and then how it looks when its closed/curtained off. And, just so you know, its not very messy because I haven't had a chance to sew for a few weeks now, except for that 15 foot long, 7 foot wide, tablecloth I sewed a few weeks back for our fancy dinner that I still haven't posted pictures of. Sorry 'bout that. :)
The first 2 pics are basically the same, just different lighting.

Here the shelf with the sewing machine on it is rolled out. I installed that shelf! Girls with tools...
Here is a close-up of how I re-organized my threads in my apothecary jars, the ones I made.

This is the view of my sewing cabinet most of the time. Anyways, thanks for stopping by! Sometime I may have actual pictures of some sewing projects... ;-)

  1. aww I love those jars they remind me of wine glasses with lids on them, soo pretty. Hope you dont get much chest pain these days. Last time I had chest pains I was going through a divorce. I am sure mine is stress although I do suffer from reflux so it could be all of the above, thank you for commenting and sharing your experience, its makes it easier for me to accept mine.

  2. That is one great storage cupboard you have there and I love those apothocary jars, they are a very stylish way to keep your sewing things in. Like that little velvet (dolls house?) chair on the same shelf - or is it a pin cushion - whatever it is, it is lovely. Thanks for your visit to my blog, much appreciated. Anne #61

  6. How marvellous do all your threads look in the glass jars. I'd have to have back-up stock so as not to spoil the look by actually using them!! Good for you over the rolling she;f - great idea. Generally, I have to admire how organised your space is. Now. Post the tablecloth...I mean, how HUGE?!!

  7. Good job! Doesn't it feel so good to get organized? I love being able to put a curtain up over all of the supplies, makes me feel better. You and I think alike in that!

    1. I love getting organized and helping others, too, for that matter. And a curtain is like frosting on a cake, doesn't really change what's underneath, just makes it look real perty! ;) Can't wait to see your completed studio and some pictures of it messed up in creativeness. :)
