Happy 4th Anniversary Julia and friends! WOYWW #208

It's a big to do this week, thanks to Julia at Stamping Ground, and I haven't arranged to trade ATC's with anyone yet! I'm just not on the ball here, am I? But I would love to trade with anyone who wants, so just let me know in the comment section if you want to trade. :) Here is my desk this week:
Not much happening, huh? Spellbinders dies and matching stamps out, 2 new packs of adhesive backed K&Company papers, gorgeous!, and miscellaneous other stuffs...plus this:
So fancy with the black and white filter, right? ;) Other than that I whipped up these cards one day when I was in an orange, pinky and yellow mood...thanks to those My Minds Eye 3d stickers propped on my desk...
I made the doily on the left card! With a corner punch from MS and some Youtube help, of course. :) It also showcases my first attempt at using the resist technique, with the card on the right showcasing my second attempt. I wish I could take better pictures because they really are darling cards, not because *I* made them but because the colors are so fab together and I had embellishments/ribbon and whatnot that just fit so nicely. Though I am thinking of trimming the twine on the left card a tad...Oh, well. Hope everyone enjoys this special WOYWW hop and please let me know if you would like an ATC by yours truly! :)
A special thanks to all who were concerned about my health and sent well wishes! I had a super week this week and am planning a liver/gallbladder flush for next week so hopefully that'll mean buh-bye stones! :)
And here is the extra special thingy I grabbed to share, for Nicky! And Julia, too, of course! ;)

WOYWW #207 Flashback!

Well, I don't know what you would call it when you actually don't get your post up on the day you are supposed to except to perhaps call it a flashback, right? :) Also going with the better late than never theory. lol  So, without any further ado, my desk, which I am showing to you courtesy of the ever fabulous Julia Dunnit via Stamping Ground:
And a close-up, just because. :)
And then, a brief, but mostly focused, 30 minutes later:
All that's left is to find someplace to store all the flowers I've been crocheting while on "bedrest". What do you think of my first attempt at crocheted cherries with stems and leaves? This card isn't finished, of course, but this is where I'm thinking to take it...

The top one was for my oldest nephew who graduated from highschool this year and the bottom one was for my youngest brother who graduated by receiving his highschool diploma equivalent from a Vo-tech. I used mini-envelopes inside the top one for family to write notes on and put money in. The robe on the bottom one I made envelope style so we could slip money in and it just stuck out in the area at top of the collar. :)
You would think with class out finally that I would have more time but I've had an inflamed gall bladder and a chest wall infection/inflammation for the last week and a half, plus two very big graduations in my family, to contend with. And a special trip to the ER, of course. Can't forget that! It's truly amazing how much one little organ can hurt and the amount of pain it can put you in. Hope everyone else is having a wonderful week!

Thanks for joining me for/from WOYWW and thanks to Julia Dunnit over at Stamping Ground for hostessing this snoop around the world. Here is my desk this week:
All this mess for one card? No! Not possible! Hahaha
And look at my new stamps from Clear Dollar Stamps(on super clearance)!
I haven't been able to create anything yet but hopefully this next week, right? :) Have a great hop y'all!

WOYWW #205

So I've been terribly busy with final exams, and projects which could have been started months ago but why, when you can wait until the last 48 hours before they are due? I *know* I am not alone in this! lol :) But, off and on, I did manage to get a few cards completed, including my Mother's Day one, so I feel way ahead of things there. I usually wait until the night before to make it! :) Well, you are here to see the desk, since it's WOYWW, thanks to the lovely and fabulous Julia over at Stamping Ground, so here you go:
Actually, the top picture was last weeks picture, since I planned to join, took the picture and then got too busy to join! Here is this week's picture though, not much changed:
It's a little cleaner and my other new twine has come in. I found a good deal on ebay for the 240 yd spools in just the right softer colors of pink and purple twine...look the pink got used already even!
This is one of the blanks/bases from a few weeks back. The softer pink twine is one of the things I was waiting for to finish it. That and inspiration to strike! :) Here's a close-up of the mustache's along the bottom:
Here is an anniversary card for this weekend...one of two I completed, the next follows this one:

And finally is proof that I got my Mother's Day card finished, no worries about posting it since my mom doesn't check my blog. She has one of those ancient limited data plans for internet...who can even function with those?! We couldn't possibly! lol :)
I think it's prettier in reality, the upper left flower really does look like it belongs! lol And inside the envelope or pocket is the stamped image of 4 kids and their mom, I think its a stamp from TH? Looks old timey? Anyways, its a joke for my mom because there are 4 of us kids and she said all she wanted for Mothers Day was a picture of us kids all together, which didn't happen of course! So when I saw that stamp with the four kids and mom I knew it would make a perfect joke out of us not getting our picture made. I hope it makes her laugh anyways! And I hope you all have a wonderful WOYWW and rest of your week and a fabulous weekend, whatever your plans, and until next time here is a big hug and a smile from me to you! :)
