WOYWW #186 A bit late...

Well, I just completely lost track of time this last week and the stores being closed on Tuesday made me feel like it was Sunday so Wednesday felt like Monday which means today should still only be Tuesday! Hey. That means I'm actually early for WOYWW! In "Deeyll" time. ;) What's WOYWW? Ask dear Julia, here!
So anyways I've been working on a super fun project, though it's not turning out as smashingly as the one I was inspired by, here. See how clever I'm being this week? I remembered who inspired me! Actually I just still have her blog opened up on another tab, otherwise I would be telling y'all someone inspired me but not remembering who! lol I don't know that lady personally but WOW am I impressed with her stuff! Next I want to make a carousel, but first I tried the wagon thingy...which is not finished but here's what I've got so far:
The whole thing is up on ribbon spools right now and until I get the stairs put in, they seem to help support its weight, but this is the main display side. Next is the end, where I will put the little set of stairs once I get them finished...
What do you guys think of the fence? It's metal and rusty looking, which is kinda great, but I'm wondering if I should do a shabby white paint job on it? Well, here is a close-up of the "entry" end...
And here is a close-up of the display side, oh I think I wanted you guys to be able to see the mini trellis like thing I wrapped around the front door with its tulle and flower vine ribbon on it...or just the details? IDK
Thanks for stopping by and seeing what I've been up to this week and have a fabulous weekend! :)

  2. That wagon is adorable, but considering how cute it is decorated I would do a shabby white coat on the fence, after all is I lived in there, I would want my fence to be pretty..just sayin'...lol waving hi from the hills of North Carolina for the last WOYWW for 2012!

    1. Hey Sandee, thanks for stopping by and weighing in! :) I'm leaning pretty heavily towards white, too...if I can find a lazy way to get it done! lol :)

  3. Sorry, I forgot to weigh in on the fence. I think white. It would go better with the pretty girliesque feel you've got going on, especially with the lovely white crocheted window awning. Since you asked, LOL! Darnell

    1. Thanks Darnell! White seems to be the consensus so far...I was leaning that direction anyways, but I'm being too lazy to get the white paint out! lol :)

  5. What an amazing project, your version is super. Yes perhaps you'll get together a journal/scrapbook of your creations this year but I'm afraid this latest one just wouldn't fit in - LOL. Thanks for visiting me and have a great New Year BJ#15

  6. wow, stunning, you should send it in to a magazine to get published, how inspiring! You could even probably put spools behind the wheels for extra support! Happy woyww Lindsay #60

  7. Should I be worried that I can see exactly how you're early for WOYWW? I'm very impressed that you keep all your papers so tidy.

  8. Wow, now that's paper crafting! how pretty it is. How many hours?! So pretty and I love the details. I'm reluctant to say it but I think a shabby white paint job on the fence would be adorable.

    1. How many hours...many? lol I lost track, actually. But the part that took the longest was coordinating the papers and picking out the embellishments, course that was also the funnest part! :)

  9. Hey Deeyll,

I totally agree with everyone your wagon is super and yes a white fence will be heaps better. I so love the wagon you have done a supper job creating it, was it a kit or did you do it from scratch, you tallented girl. Yes I also understand about the mix up in days, I had the same problem. LOL Mind you I always have the problem because I usually work over 2 days and they blend into one, I think you understand my problem.....

I am the next post, just after you and it was you that allerted me to the WOYWW happening, thanks for that.

    1. Aren't you a sweetie! :) It was done from scratch, although I printed out some templates but decided I wanted mine bigger. So I just used the templates as a jumping off point and eyeballed it or guesstimated. Plus I wanted to make sure I cut out enough pieces of stuff so I still kept the template handy. But I got it off a french website so that was interesting! And part of the reason I decided to wing it! lol I'll have to check out your post later(Sunday or Monday even), I'm off to an oddly early bedtime tonight...busy weekend ahead, yeah! :)
Take care and have a great one yourself. Hugs!

  10. I love your little caravan that is soooo clever, and your desk looks filled with loads of handy stash! And yes, the sprout is VERY smelly now! My darkened corner bit came from story I used to read my girls when they were little...and the fact is.. every darkened corner in my crafty room IS piled high with paper!! Happy Very Late WOYWW!

  13. Wow! That is quite an undertaking if you ask me! And you say the carousel is up next? Yep, you are officially crazy! I love it though. I can't decide if you should give the fence a whitewash or not though. I kind of like it how it is. Very cool!!!!
