WOYWW # 183

Hey, its another Wednesday and, thanks to Julia, its time to see what's up here...not much, really. I just took an exam for which I studied so hard...like I carried the text book everywhere for the last 48 hours! Only to get in there and find out, whoops...I studied the wrong 3 chapters! Well, to give myself a little credit I did study 2 of the right chapters, just missed 1 chapter for a loss of 16 points, make that 26 because apparently math is not my forte today, either, and yah I didn't catch that error until after hitting publish so this is an edit. Yah, such a bummer. Anyways, I came right home, well after I bought a mini chocolate bundt cake to celebrate my idiocy, and, after having a piece of cake, got right to my craft room to start a project I'm excited about...but its not done so the only pic I have is of my desk. :) That's all you came to see anyways, huh? ;)
See those fab punches? I got them awhile back at Hobby Lobby and they are super and well, otherwise its just a general disaster because I did make two cards but failed to photo them for this...and they are man cards too! Ugh. Well, some days are just not *your* day are they? Well, I'm off to craft now and forget about the stupid silly things I do. Hope you lovely blog readers are having a better day/week than I am! :)

    1. Thanks Helen! It looks like I will end up with a B in the class, which is fine but my perfectionist tendencies were all in a bunch about it, hence the cake! lol :)

  2. Queen Lightwell,

Oh drats! That is exactly what I would do - study the wrong chapters......

I love everything on your desk. I had to click on the photo to make it bigger just so I could drool! Where did you find that HUGE thing of baker's twine?

    Happy WOYWW

    1. Thanks for the sympathy Kay! :) I am loving everything on my desk right now, too. I even got more stuff out after posting, since I'm still working on the same project, and for awhile just sat there dazed by the lovely pinkness of it all! lol
The huge thing of bakers twine was purchased at Hobby Lobby, made by Maya Road and called twine cording, so it's a little thicker than the bakers twine being sold specifically for paper crafts, but that's kind of just what you want sometimes and it comes on the huge spool, as you noticed, because it is over 100 yards! Its sold for only $5.99, and after you take your 40% off coupon to it you'll only pay $3.60. Pretty sweet, huh? So now I can afford to go crazy with the stuff! :)

  4. You have the right attitude about it, Deeyll! "Celebrate my idiocy ...!" Sounds like just what I would do! A "B" is excellent and tomorrow is another day! And crafting takes the sting out of any of life's disappointments!! Be well! (And now I'm all out of exclamation points.) Darnell #58

  5. Oh dear, I hope today was a better day than yesterday. But indeed I am here to see your desk, so I've nothing to complain about! It looks completely surrounded and covered in delightful supplies -- so much within arm's reach!

To answer the question you asked me about my ColorBox reinkers, I am happy with them so far -- they're pretty new. They certainly seem to re-ink well; I imagine they'd work fairly well to make your own inkpads. You just work them into the pad a little with the tip of the bottle.
