Did you know it was Wednesday already? WOYWW #171

I did not! I thought it was only Tuesday...don't ask me why. lol But thanks to Julia over at Stamping Ground I'm all sorted out now. And ready to share my messy desk!
Ebay is my new bestest friend...
lol :) I scored a huge lot of TH stuff for a super fab price! Tons of stamps, besides those pictured, and...
You can see how my distress ink pad pile has grown, and morphed into two piles, can't you? :)
Also wanted to share some Prima 6x6 paper that I am eager to use but I don't want to cut it up either! Does that ever happen to you? Well, I did get some actual crafting done. Made several card bases out of another Prima paper stack, the A4 size, perfect for at least 2 card fronts...the name of it is...Craftsman Collection.
All the papers in this pack are outstanding and turning out some really fab masculine card bases. I plan to add more layers and all kinds of whatnot to the cards still, but I'm already really thrilled with their start so that's good, right? Hope everyone is having a lovely WOYWW and I'll hopefully have some completed cards later this week. :)

  1. Wow! You did score, talk about lots of stamps at once, how lovely not to know where to start! I love the cut up papers but like you, a bit afeared to make a start...I did a card for a workshop this week using a lovely dotty paper, when I'd cut up for the kits, I realised it was the back of a load of lovely journalling boxes...lucky I hadn't noticed or I would have had to change the card design!!

    1. I would have been so mad at myself! lol Very rarely do I purposely buy double-sided paper and I hate it for the reason you discovered...I always want to use both sides! And you can't! Well, not always, sometimes you can, but that's about the only time I like double-sided papers is when I *need* them for a specific project. Anyways, thanks for stopping by! I don't know how you manage it but I'm ever so pleased to "see" you here! :)

    1. Right! lol :) I usually do buy two of stuff that gets used up, there's a word for that but I can't think of it right now, one to keep and one to use. :)

  3. I am so envious of your new supplies boo hoo. That paper is great, I see what you mean pretty good huh!
As I say better late than never and you made it you have a number, so all is good. I would of hunted you down if you didn't turn up on the WOYWW desks. LOL

    Happy Crafting

    1. I'm glad you would have hunted me down! It might have been the only indication that I missed a whole day this week! lol I only caught it because I thought I was going to get ready "early" for WOYWW and have my stuff ready to enter at midnight, the start of Wednesday, so I pulled up the Stamping Ground, expecting the numbers to only be around 40 or 50 and no! It was waaaay over 100! That's when I figured out it must be Wednesday here in the states already! lol Silly, I know. But there it is. :)

  4. Love all your recent purchases! I confess to purchasing one lone stamp from Ebay just now on a whim. Well, not a complete whim. It is a stamp my friend uses every Christmas and I decided I needed one too. You sure got a great load of Tim stamps. That's great! I find I collect his stamp more than I use them. As much as I love his style and admire it, it isn't what I create. And yes! Sometimes I get papers that are too scrumptious to cut up. I love that paper! Cut it up and use it! go for it!!!!

    1. That's so funny, because I think I'm a little opposite, sort of. I'm not sure I love the TH overall style but I have found his stamps to be really versatile and fit lots of different cards for me or that I'm making, I mean. So his stamps have turned out to be ones I use quite a bit, the only reason I got the big lot on ebay. I ended up saving almost $200 on the retail prices of all the products I got! So each product was bought at about a 75% discounted rate and most of the items I got I simply cannot buy in my area at all(small-town). Anyways, stay tuned...I expect to be turning out loads of fab cards soon! lol :) And sometimes you do just have to bite the bullet on using a piece of paper. I call it a sacrifice! It makes my cards more special, right? lol :)

  5. Wow - look at all those goodies! I've sold stamps on ebay (usually just stuff a flat rate box full) and it's been successful on that end. And I must admit, I've bought my fair share of stamps too!

I know what you mean about making that first cut (or mark) on paper --- I am the same way. Have been since I was a kid.

    Happy WOYWW

    1. Some papers are just too pretty, right? :)
I am so glad I am not the only one with this feeling! I was beginning to think I was just really weird...not having any local fellow crafters to have a confession session with and all! But all my online friends have quite come to my rescue! lol :)
I thought about selling some stuff on ebay but the fee schedule seems complicated...but you say you can make some money, huh? Guess I'll have to think about it some more...
      Happy crafting to you! :)

  6. So glad I was able to help! :) I love those plastic drawer thingies but that, not holding up, is a major drawback. Wish they would make the frame sturdier...anyways, glad you found something else that will last you much longer. Thanks for stopping by here and letting me know. :)

  7. ohhhhhhhhh Ebay is dangerous and addicting, well, it is for me anyway! I banned myself from going back to it! lol Love your TH stash though and how easily accessible everything seems to be around your desk! waving hi from the hills of North Carolina :)

    1. Yah, I'm about to ban myself from it too! But I just found cabochons for super cheap...um, so, when *those* auctions are done so am I. For real. I mean it this time. Really. lol I love scoring a great deal but I actually hate watching the final few minutes of an auction...it makes me so nervous! I don't know why, for sure, but I think its because I know how competitive I could get and then I would end up spending way more than I wanted to or the product is worth and then I would have buyers remorse and that's like the worst. Ugh. Right? lol Thanks for stopping by Sandee...I think I need to return the favor now, huh? :)

  8. What a fun desk-load of new toys you got, Deeyll! Good job! And I love the paper, too. Can't wait to see the cards you create! It gets easier to cut and use the "stroking" and eye-candy papers when you get older. "Life is too short" becomes even more true!
Have a great week! Darnell #74
