It's WOYWW Time! #149

So here are pictures of my paper crafting desk because it's What's on your workdesk? Wednesday again.
General view of my desk while I was working on the first card, you see in the next pic, and some other tags that aren't pictured, but one that is...
Here is the one card, not finished though...I want something down the middle...thinking I like the crocheted ribbon but I'm not married to it yet...
Here is the tag I made after popping over to Tim Holtz's blog and receiving his inspiration...I don't think its done yet, either...I need more practice with his techniques...
Next is the card I was working on this evening and...
Managed to make my desk even messier!
But I changed up the ribbon rod, right above my paper desk...I have this great roll of burlap and hempy like twine that I managed to get up there and now I think I'll use them more, plus I like how they look. And you get a bonus side peek at my shelves of fabrics that I didn't have room for in the living room sewing cabinet. Yah. I haven't even shown y'all pictures of that yet! Maybe next week...
Until then have a good one and if you're curious what other desks look like make sure you pop by the Stamping Ground and check 'em out!

    1. You're so welcome, it's so fun to share! The yellow bins in a line work so awesome for me because they sit on a rail(from Lowe's), so they float above everything beneath and I don't have to move them to access it all...my 4.5x6.5 paper pads lined up under the left 3 bins, then a paper covered box under the next 2 bins, which works like a bookend of sorts, but I can easily pull it out and it has the small paper pads in it(the 4x4 size or something?)then next to it, and under one bin, are stacked pigment inks, then a stack of 8x8 paper pads under the last 2 bins. If I could ever present it cleaner it might be easier to see how truly functional the area is! ;) Anyways, I obviously love it, more so when it's messy, right? :)
I honestly don't know where the burlap came from because it was left over from a wedding and came to me just as a blessing. I would suspect Michael's, maybe? Definitely not Hobby Lobby, though.

  2. Thank you for visiting and leaving the sweet comment. I haven't been doing any weekly things like workdesk Wednesday so far but maybe I will. I am just so busy with this studio, I'm going crazy. Remind me again soon if I don't, please, because I have so much in my brain I lose a lot of it! I had to laugh at your pictures, you should see my sewing room right now. Unbelievably messy, I can hardly stand being in it because of the mess, I get all overwhelmed! I'll try to find the camera and take a picture for you!
And, by the way, I LOVE what you are creating on your desk, messy or not. It makes me want to start a new project right now and that would NOT be a good thing! I also like seeing how you are organizing, maybe I can learn a couple things for my new room!
    Hugs,
    Julie

  3. great looking desk... lots of stuff and it all has it's own home! I love being organized only sometimes it takes me longer to organize than it does to do the project does that happen to you? have a great week!

    1. Sometimes that happens to me, but usually only when I'm doing a kind of major overhaul of my space. It's actually much more organized than the pictures show! There is pretty much a place for everything and everything gets put in its place, which takes mere minutes to do, so I can get going on new projects fairly quickly even if I want to tidy up before I start. But I usually leave the mess until I want to change themes/color schemes, that way everything is absolutely right there! Thanks for stopping by... :)

  11. Hi -- Happy WOYWW on Friday. I like your cute polka-dotted & plaid pastel pails that hold some of your supplies and the small apothecary jars. The card with the two skirts is so cute. :) (Thanks for visiting my blog.) ~ Laura #124
