WOYWW #192

What's on my workdesk this Wednesday? Well if you're really curious then you picked the right day and, if I left the right link, you're even in the right spot! :) But if you don't know what I'm talking about you'll have to go see dear Julia over at Stamping Ground, and if you want to see lots of other creative spaces. Here's mine:
I haven't had a chance to play today, actually, at least not yet, as I have an exam I'm studying for, which is a total bummer because one super sweet lady sent me some marvelous stamps that I can't wait to play with! But, the other day I was making some flexible molds with those two containers there. You mix equal parts of the white and yellow and then smoosh your object you want a mold of into it. Then just let it sit. Wahlah! A mold. I'm hoping to make some stuff from/in them. My first two are beneath the next pic...
That's one of the partially finished cards I showed y'all last week. I just diecut the circle and inked the sentiment onto it and the edges too of course, then added some pop dots and there's a completed sympathy card. :) Next are my two molds...
Not sure exactly how they will work out or what all I'm planning to do with them...so we'll see. But anyways, thanks for stopping by and I hope you're all having a fabulous blog hop! Have a great week, too. :)

P.S.
If anyone knows how I can get a set of Kanban Vivienne stamps from the UK without having to pay $39.99 or more in shipping I would be so thankful for the help/advice. :)

  7. Oh my gosh, I loved reading about what you did with that mold stuff. I almost bought some several years ago at a craft store to make doll faces, but then decided not to open up another can of worms and go crazy in yet another direction. I have so much going already in the sewing room. Now you got me started! It's all your fault Missy!!! Thank you for visiting and leaving me such good information, and also for the wonderful support. I gained yet another pound today, and have decided at this point to quit weighing myself. I have written down the things you recommended and will be out today so I am going to visit Walgreens or somewhere and pick some up. I hope the one supplement does work as a chill pill, that would be great. Thank you so very much. I really appreciate it. Have a great day!
    Hugs,
    Julie

    1. I got that one all the way from Australia! I have just met the most wonderful crafters on WOYWW(so I'm so thankful to dear Julia for so many reasons!) and a lovely lady from Australia, who recently got to pillage a Kaisercraft factory, sent me a few sets I can hardly wait to play with. That set on top, the Le Chateau Collection, is one I almost bought several times, for a good price(just under $5) on artfire in fact, but had resisted. Was I ever so happy to receive them! :)

  10. YOu could have the stamps sent to me and I'll post them to you as a gift...not a problem at all. I will check see if my Shopkeeper Gal has them in stock tomorrow..if she has, I'll jsut buy them and get your address..so I'll come back to you later tomorrow. For heaven's sake don't pay that sort of shipping, a non commercial package has got to be cheaper, surely!!

  11. Ooh, yippee! You are just a darling darling lady! :) I figured surely shipping couldn't really be that much...I'm thinking they probably don't want the hassle of an international customer, perhaps? I found one person on all of ebay who sold me the Kanban Jasper set and would ship it internationally, but no such luck on the Vivienne set. I'll be looking forward to hearing what you find out and I do appreciate it so much. :) And now that my one exam is over I have a short break for playing! And visiting! :)

  15. WooHoo! I may have to try that making your own mold! I bought some of Martha Stewarts and the puffy clay to make my own molded leaves and flowers etc but haven't used it yet! If you find a way to get the stamps without the horrible shipping let me know cause I have some I would like to get also! Have a great week and good luck on your test. Vickie #32

  18. I use either those pieces shaped like an oversized U or a longer piece that looks kinda like a miniature rake, or that one that is a tool holder so it has a row of circles on top and bottom...hmm, these aren't very good descriptions are they?! I'll picture them this week, close-up, so you can see what I mean, how's that? :) And I'll have to go scrounge around for your other post...thanks for letting me know about it. :)
