WOYWW #190

Almost missed it, I did! :) Missed what? What's on your workdesk Wednesday, hosted by the fabulous Julia Dunnit over at Stamping Ground! And here are the requisite desk shots:
Not too shabby this week...I'm having a bit of a tidy up and doing some fussy cutting of more embellishments, not that I don't have buckets of them around here! lol
Here is a bonus wide shot:
Yes, it is cozy, but my chair spins and rolls and everything is right at hand...or on the left hand, or behind me, or at my knee...and sometimes, rarely, I even have to get up to access stuff in the cabinets overhead. But not often! :) And because that desk shot was so tidy, I thought I would give those who love a mess a peek at my jewelry/hairbow desk:
It's a true disaster! :) Have to hop over to the linky party now, before midnight strikes! lol Hope everyone is having a lovely week. :)

  1. I thought I worked in a small space, but you....However you need to be organised in your space. Do like the items you are going to play with especially the victorian lady. Happy crafting. Francesca #72

    1. It is a small space, but not too bad. I saw a woman who turned a walk-in closet of 6x9 into a craft room! Mine isn't much bigger, 7x11, but that few extra feet make a pretty big difference. :)
The Victorian lady is one of my favorite embellishments, too. :)

  3. It’s good to have everything to hand, but is there actually any space to create in? At least you’re making the most of your craft space.

    Happy Crafting!

    1. lol :) It is bigger than the picture shows, though not by much...and if I have it nice and clean then there is actually room for a few people in there. Well, two fluffy people or 4 stick figures. ;) Or two fluffy and two sticks...well, anyways, I'm a fluffy and I fit very comfortably. If I couldn't that would be a big pickle! lol And I am certainly making the most of the space...all the way up to the ceiling all around! :)

  4. My goodness...you have some lovely fussy cutting there!
I used to craft in a closet (not a walk in). Jut an ordinary closet with tons of teensy sell placed chelves. I even shelved the narrow sideways depth of the closet.
The back of my chair touched the queen bed that was in that guest room. I had enough room to craft on my worktop but had to swivel my chair and lay my finished layout or card etc on that bed to have room to make the next one.
Best of all, I was delighted to have a scrap place!

Your looks bigger and i bet you love it as much as I loved mine. Now I have a 12 x 15 foot room all set up and organized and labelled and I can still never find anything! teehee

    1. It is so nice to have a place to create, isn't it? I love my little craft cave just dearly, especially since I didn't have a dedicated room in my old home, I had just taken over the living room! Which wasn't really a good working situation but we make do, don't we? Anyways, I feel incredibly blessed to have the space I have now, but WOW! A 12x15 room! That must be heaven! ;)
You have everything organized and labelled, but do you have a diagram? Just a single sheet of paper or file on your computer that will quickly show you where things are? I don't have one on paper, just in my memory but as my memory gets worse I know I am going to have to have one on paper eventually! lol
Thanks for the comment and stopping by! :)

    1. Cozy seems to be just the word for it, huh? ;) And its why I call it my craft cave, instead of craft room or studio! :)

    1. Haha, not sooo weird! :) I have to be in the mood to do it and love it, but that's why I save it up and have lots out at once. I just wait until I am in the mood and then go to town! :)

  8. I love fussy cutting and can spend hours doing it, silly I know. I found my favourite fussy scissors the other day, the house took them and hid them from me, long story. LOL But now the scissors have returned I am happy. Glad to see you made it to the desk hop was starting to worry you wouldn't.

You really should use that paper collection of yours it looks awesome just sitting there.

    1. I can only spend hours doing it when I am in the mood, as I was the other day...and now the mood is gone again! :)
Oh and I went and forgot to brag on myself because I HAVE been using my papers up! I made almost 100 semi-completed card bases this last week!!! The only thing left to do on them is add sentiments and any other dimensional embellishments I desire. Their edges are even already inked up! I really do feel quite accomplished with that pile of cards at the ready now. ;)

  9. I want a jewellery/hairbow counter now...alhtough I don't make either...I want to be in a cosy room where I could. I too don't get up off the chair unless I really have to...totally love your wheels!
I only like to fussy cut in good daylight and with the good sharp pair of scissors....the old eyesight is a test!

    1. Yah, fussy cutting requires a certain mood and lighting! lol Or shall we say, mood lighting? :)
Oh, I love my wheels, too! I don't understand trying to craft without them...I see people with stools and what-not and I think, "Ugh. I bet they have to get up all the time to reach stuff and I just roll on over or swivel around to it." Never once do I think, "Wow, no wheels. They must have lots of energy. I must be lazy with my wheels and swivel seat!" Never do I think that! lol :)

  10. It's always so fun to visit your cozy pink and colorful cave of creativity, Deeyll!! It gives me a warm and toasty feeling. Thank you for visiting the Playhouse. I'm late again returning visits, but I'm getting there! I'm sorry the click didn't make my photo bigger - it does from my end, altho the first time I tried I had to do a double click. ? Sorry. I hope your week is going well!! Darnell #131
