WOYWW #220

The saga continues! Last night I had to move the dog cage/bed as it stuck out too far and the way I had to sit was making my back ache, can't have that! So I moved things around under the desk and added a shelf to the ongoing craft room re-org...it will serve as another crafting surface actually, since I put it level with my desk, there on the left under the clock, see? (And yes, it was 1:15 a.m. when I took this pic! But then I was too tired to join up before going to bed.) Speaking of desks, thanks to the ever lovely and wonderful Julia over at Stamping Ground, here's mine:
I don't like that tangle of cords back there by the TV, but what shall I do about it? Hmm. That little shelf is turning out to be very handy, so glad I know how to run a power drill and find studs...at least in my walls if not in my life! lol ;) And do you see I still have room left for more stuff on my desk?! The pegboard to the left of the TH inks is still empty and under the little shelf there is empty, too. But my washi tape spinner is totally full and I have 15 tapes coming on a slow boat from China...first world problems, right? Here is a close-up of the right side of my desk. See my new Disney paper? Gonna make some simple cards for boys...while enjoying my raspberry lemonade. :)
Here are the cards I made out of my new Hello Kitty! paper. Very simple as they are for little girls and I couldn't have buttons or whatnot on there that they might remove and choke on. You know kids. My son wasn't like that when he was little, but I know other kids can be like that so safety first, right? :)
I'm thinking I will sell them in packages of like 3 or 4 or something or just give them to that thing for Soldiers...Operation Write Home or something? That's also why I didn't add glitter or any other bling, like I normally would...love the glitter! :)
Hobby Lobby is the source for the new papers, by the way, and they are on sale 50% off this week, too. You're welcome! ;) Enjoy the WOYWW everyone and thanks for stopping by!

  4. Nice addition to the desk! Love a handy woman!! Find some Velcro that's two sided, fold up the cords and wrap with the Velcro. That way you can shorten them as little or much as needed to tuck them up out of the way. Happy WOYWW! Nan G #1

  5. I have to say that it is coming together nicely. Of course any time you make a flat surface in a craft room it won't stay blank for long. As you see with my room I cover my empty flat surfaces with cats. I had a good chuckle over the you can find studs in walls if not in real life. I have a 3 part plastic bucket that I keep my washi tape in. It is filled up now with the overflow being elsewhere. Perhaps time for another 3-part plastic bucket? Certainly it isn't time for less washi tape!!! It's all looking good!!!

  6. One time our local plumber/electrician guy was over doing some work. He told my husband he should leave the room because he (the handyman) was going to be using a stud finder. hahahahahahahahaha I love your sweet Hello Kitty cards. They would be perfect for Operation Write Home -- soldiers would love those for their little girls. Happy WOYWW! ~ Laura #116

  10. Love you storage. Zip tie your cords and tape them up under something for a bit of disguise. I can't wait, Hobby Lobby is coming here to Oregon. It will only be about 40 minutes away from me in the town my mom lives in. EXCITED! Kim #52

  14. We have a 'huge' dog cage in the living room that gives DH back ache whilst trying to watch the tv, one day we might be able to trust the dog to be left long enough to take it down, but might be another year yet! Love your desk and the cards, I might just join the order of tapes, never thought to get them from abroad, they are usually so expensive, might have to look out for some.

sorry I'm late, been a struggle to keep up this week.

  15. Well done, Deeyll! It looks very sorted out and well organized and the little shelf is perfect! (Some studs are better keep in the walls if you know what I mean!)

Happy very Belated WOYWW! Thank you for your visit to me and for your sweet get well wishes! I have been more sore than I thought I would be, so I'm being lazy and taking it easy! There is no revamping of the Playhouse happening as I had planned! Instead, my stud is waiting on me hand and foot, tee hee!

I wanted to tell you a trick I learned about keeping ants from getting in the hummingbird feeder and it totally worked for me. Just spread Vaseline on the hanger. Our feeder is hanging from a tree limb and the ants would climb up the tree, out onto the branch and then down the hanger and into the feeder. Once I slathered it with Vaseline, they couldn't climb down the hanger and it didn't affect the hummers! Cool, huh? Enjoy the rest of your week! Hugs, Darnell #16
