WOYWW #229...still! :)

Hey, I made it! :) I do miss getting around to visit all you fabulous crafters out there...if not because of how awesome you are then at least because of how your desks are always almost as messy as mine! :) Why would I go looky or show off my own desk? Simple. 'Cause I can. ;) Thanks to the super wonderful Julia over at Stamping Ground, where you can go find out what this WOYWW thing is all about and see more desks with creative happenings...happening. :) So, here's the pics...

Ya, not much happenin'...getting ready to make at least 4 cards though and do some watercoloring...here is a card I made awhile back...the paper was partially patterned and then I stamped and embossed and diecut the hot air balloon, applied the washi tape and just generally had fun... :)

So, this is a bonus shot of the jewelry area...got lots out a couple months ago (!) and then didn't make snot...except for a big mess! :) Nothing new there, right? lol

But, hey! Here's some roses for y'all! :) Arranged these today even...and posted! What?!

Everybody and their dog watches this show...

Here he is watching a forum talk, on thetrumpet.com, called "You can Conquer Discouragement."

It was a really encouraging talk, correcting and encouraging, and from the interest Weenie showed in it I'm guessing maybe even he needs encouragement at times. :)

Lookee at my lunch!

I've been craving some nice big salads lately and so, if you will pardon the lack of fine china, I took a picture of my lunch today because, well, other than the plumbing issues in my sons bathroom there just isn't too much else happening today...but it is pretty early in the day so we shall see, huh? ;)

I said it was a big salad, I didn't say it was a healthy one! hahaha But I think it's good for me; romaine and baby spinach make the base, then comes what I should probably do without but won't: buttermilk ranch, then grated cheeses, cheesy garlic croutons and finally the protein...oven roasted deli chicken cut on a 9 and then diced up at home and tossed carefully on top...Weenie Dawg prefers I toss carelessly so he gets what falls on the floor but it doesn't usually work out as he prefers. But I will eat almost half this salad now and then in a few hours I will finish it up, after adding some more chicken for the protein, and still be full for several more hours...so it's off to eat now! Hope everyone is having a more wonderful than surprising Monday, unless you like surprises... :)

Weenie Dawg gets ready for the Blizzard!

Weenie Dawg got a new sweater today! Well, we are supposed to get a looooooooot of snow tonight and tomorrow so he has to stay warm, right? ;)

 He was cold from helping me bring in the shopping bags so he went to the vent...he goes to it everytime he hears the heater come on! Poor thing is so cold all winter long, but I think the new sweater is going to help. Next are a few pictures of the new snow as it is falling...not very good pictures but its coming down pretty hard and the sun has already set so by the time it comes up again, and I "wake" up, there should be a really spectacular covering...

This is after only an hour! The other snow had melted, except in the bigger drifts, so there is already a really good covering from only an hours worth...maybe we actually will get that 8-10 inches, huh?

P.S. The excitement wore him out!

I gotta cover him up now so he stays nice and cozy...

Weenie Dawg Helps with the Laundry!

This is my sons "clean" laundry basket...I took this stuff out of the dryer for him and put it in the basket then turned my back on it to match some socks and when I turned back around Weenie had made himself comfortable! So, I carried him into the living room and snapped a few quick pics...and I'm sure you'll be happy to know he went right back to sleep afterwords and is asleep there now! I have to let you guys know these things just in case I am in any danger of losing my best Weenie Dawg spoiler status.

Here's your snow!

In case you aren't getting any snow here are some pictures of ours:

 My backyard view...pretty standard, huh? But the snow looks lovely!

 My frontyard view...we don't have anyone next door right now so our front yard is bigger than ever. That little tree moved with us from our old home and the poor birdies have a feeder but it's empty!

This is Weenie Dawg getting up the nerve to jump in! He has to be pushed out the door when it's this cold out. He does his business and runs right back in...and finds an air vent to huddle on! I should have put his little sweater on him, huh? Hope you guys who aren't getting much snow can enjoy it from "afar".

Isn't he adorable?

Well, I guess his eyes being open just a bit is a little creepy, but otherwise, seriously, isn't he adorable? I put his sweater on him and covered him back up with a lovely cashmere blanky, only the best for my sweetie! And he finally got warm enough to go back to sleep, you know, sleep...that thing he does for 20 out of roughly every 24 hours?

We had a little guest last weekend!

My nephew stayed over last weekend and he was so cute I had to snap a few pictures...Check him out!
This first picture is what he does when you tell him to smile...

Looks almost painful, right? But it is so cute in reality! He did this every time I told him to smile. I just have to wonder what his parents are teaching him! : )
Next is a picture of what he can do to my nice clean living room in just under 10 seconds flat.

But at least my brother has taught him to pick up after himself and so this picture is after he has even picked up several things already. I'm not sure what Weenie Dawg is contributing to the effort, though. I think he is getting a head start on deleavening by looking for the cookies my nephew stashes around my house...including the Coco Puffs he puts in toy cars. They are like little round dark people, not saying they are fat-just round from every angle!

I think he is ready for rush hour traffic, a coffee shortage and the B-52's Love Shack song all before 8 am and all at the same time. Be brave my dear Fluffy's. Be brave! Go forth and conquer this world.

A day in the life of Weenie Dawg

At the crack of dawn, also know as noonish...

Well, he still hasn't rolled out of bed yet but he's close...at least he has me out of bed by this time!

 First things first, here he waits patiently to be let out the backdoor so he can, uh hmm, attend to business.
What's next? More excitement, of course...

 He has to make sure his favorite food is still being stocked locally. Not that he can access it, but he likes to look anyways! I feel the same way about pizza at midnight. All that activity wears a dog out, you know...

 So it's time for a nap. But with an owner like me you can guess what's coming next...

A rude awakening! He doesn't mind much, though, and has lots more napping spots. He naps his way through the day and when it's evening time he keeps an eye on things from his window bed. Spoiled? I know.

He can see all the comings and goings of our neighborhood from this window. He keeps a real close eye on things until it's time for us both to go to bed, again.
