Since I've started the Wednesday craft desk thing I've had a hard time getting anything else posted so I'm thinking about giving the WOYWW its own page. Any thoughts? Well, otherwise, it's just that kind of day...
The kind of day where you feel the need to pat your own self on the back...I messed up turning in an 81 page portfolio last night by like 5 seconds too late and I'm still waiting to hear from the instructor if she will still accept it or not...pins and needles, I tell ya. But, on a positive note, I did get my last set of taxes done! And, for those who don't follow me on twitter, I just had one tweet for that: "TurboTax uses word verification to make sure I'm a human before I can file my taxes. How many computers or robots file taxes?!?" I mean, really? It's kind of ridiculous when you think about it, huh? Well, hope everyone else is having a wonderful day so far!

Summer bird sounds...
I can't remember the name of the bird, if I ever knew it, but I know its song is from summer and I am hearing it already! It's not even officially spring yet here, but we had such a mild winter that appears for all intents and purposes to be over so now many of our trees have their blossoms out and regular spring allergies have kicked into high gear...thankfully mine are under control, but my mom is miserable! She doesn't go outside much anyways...
I have a few more things to do before sunset so I'll be signing off for now...but I did find my camera today and got the batteries put on the charger. Hopefully I will take some pictures this weekend so y'all can see what projects I have been working on the last few weeks or so.
I do have one more question...have you ever seen something that was supposed to be inspiring but instead it was de-inspiring? By which I mean discouraging? I saw some amazing cards in a magazine the other day and I just thought they were soooo beautiful! Which made me look at my own cards and think, "Wow...I guess it's a good thing this isn't your day job!" But I think that was just the hormones talking, as I am coming off another hcg diet phase and back into regular eating. :) I just wondered if that had ever happened to anyone else...I'm over it now, though in the end it did encourage me to step my card making game up to a higher level, to really challenge myself to create new better more complicated designs, so maybe it really was inspiring, just not in the way I thought it should be.
Well, have a lovely weekend you wonderful people!

Finals finally final!
Yeah! This semester is officially over! Now, my house will not get cleaned for the next few weeks, but that's alright cuz it means I can craft with wild giddy glee and complete abandon! Look for new creations coming soon to a blog near you, very near to you, at least at the moment. And on Tuesday I'm going back to our booth to drop some more things off and take some close-up shots to post here later this week. My glue gun is calling my name so I'll see you all later! Leave a comment and let me know what you do with your free-time...also known as naptime to many of us! ; )

It is a war.
My son is all about the war and fighting talk and I, being a girl I guess, am always like, "Ugh. I can't stand all this talk of violence!" So don't you know when I get completely fed up and say something like that to him we always go to services and hear about, you guessed it, war! It never fails. In the future I hope I remember to remind myself to redirect his war talk in the righteous direction of fighting against the 3 S's. This is yet another area where the male balance is missing in our life...but thankfully God has provided for the fatherless with a Godly ministry! But this life is a war against selfishness, for one thing, and we must remember to persevere no matter how great the struggle is, no matter how comfy our beds are, and no matter how excellent raspberry cheesecake cookies taste. No, we must fight for the subjection of our minds and bodies to the will of a greater, much, much, much greater One. Just wanted to take a minute to encourage everyone to keep up the good fight in faith and hope and joy!
Much love,
You know who.

Where are the gifts?
My original idea for this blog was to put up store sale info and other freebies or tips that I found as a sort of offering or gift for anyone who happened upon this blog. It hasn't quite worked out like that but maybe some of my pictures or meanderings of mind will inspire or motivate or encourage someone and that is like a gift, yes? I will keep trying to find tips or freebies, though, and hopefully have some of them to post in the future...if you have anything you would like to offer the world in general leave it as a comment and maybe, just maybe, the seeker shall find it.
