WOYWW #180

Super exciting and rare pics this week! ;) Why? Cause the fabulous Julia Dunnit from Stamping Ground enables us, um crafters, to peek at others spaces and share the glory disaster that is our own...here is mine:
What is this?! Its the view of my craft cave from the doorway and how the room is set up when I'm sitting/working at the jewelry/bow station. Next is the actual jewelry desk:
And then here is a close-up of what I was working on just last night(the first time I've been in this room since last week's WOYWW pics):
I got a bunch of cabochons of ebay and some fittings and other metal pieces and got to making stuff last night...next picture is the shelf to my right when I'm sitting at my jewelry desk, it has my beads and bow making stuff all organized on it. Yes, those are feathers. I like feathers in my hairbows. ;)
Now this is how my craft room looks when I'm using the paper side(mostly it just means the black 4 drawer cart gets rolled back over slightly in front of the jewelry desk):
Yes, that's all paper. If there was a Paperholics Anonymous group locally I would probably have to join it. Or if there was one in the next town over...they also have a Micheal's and JoAnns, we don't have either of those, and a bigger Hobby Lobby than ours so, yah, I would totally go to meetings after I finished my shopping. Totally. ;)
Last shot is my paper desk this week...looks a lot like last week, huh? Yah, that's because of the two proctored exams I had last week and the major project worth 20% of my grade, which all meant I didn't hardly get squat for crafting done...no, I am *not* an English major. :)
I have gotten some crocheting done...I found a super adorable owl granny square from Repeat Crafter Me. So stinking adorable! I really wish I was much better at this whole crocheting thing...so far the first granny square I made turned out, um, as a granny star? I think I've invented it. Because its certainly not a square! lol Once I get *one* finished I'll show you. You'll laugh. I promise! :)
Take care y'all and enjoy your visits.

  1. That is some craft room you have there, so much going on but like that you have clearly defined spaces for each type of craft. I think I need to join Paperholics Anonymous too, sadly, I think I have even more than you do!! Happy WOyWW, Anne x #65

  7. Oh girl I am ROFLMAO! I can see us starting a Paper crafters Anonymous up! When I joined GA they told us to be careful we didn't swap one addiction for another. When I missed a weeks meetings due to paper crafting classes I was either taking or teaching the group was concerned! NOPE I didn't switch addictions cause I had this one before the gambling. Went to Enid on Wednesday and thought about calling you up to go to supper but it all took way to long to get done what I had to get done and I just drove home! Have a great week and thanks for sharing. Vickie #62

    1. Thanks, I'm glad the post made you laugh! :) From all the comments I'm thinking I'm not the only Paperholic in this bunch and I'm positive we would have a really good showing for meetings, but not if it was anywhere near a craft store! lol
Would have been nice to do lunch...Enid's not that far from here, after all, but if you ever get up here again and have more time maybe we'll get together then. Got to go check out your desk now...I am so terribly late this week! :) Deeyll

  9. Love how you designated areas for different crafts. Wish I could do that. Sewing has a big box under the bed and knitting gets spread all over!!

    1. Yah, in my old house I had turned the living room into a crafting room because I had no other space...I feel really blessed to have a craft room in our home now. :) Thanks for stopping by!

  10. You are precious and your room is a reflection of you, so much greatness crammed into one little space, boy oh boy those creative jucices must get flowing in there to have 2 desks. I think I will have to come and visit and take up one of the desks. As for your paper collection dont feel bad it is a good thing, you never know when you are going to need it. We all have a little addiction in us somewhere and you are right at home with this one. I would be afraid to show all my paper on this group as I have to hide mine here and there to make it look less. LOL You are so lucky to have such a wondeful cave to hide in, I do hope you find some crafting time this week as you need it after those submissions you have been working on. Promise me you will sit and give yourself time to do what you want just 20 mins is a good start, go on promise me girl......

Thanks for the sticky, loved the visit.
    Hugs Eliza

    1. Haha, oh Eliza, I would *love* to see all your hidden paper stashes! I did make some time for crafting last week and last night, too. :) If you ever make it to the states I expect to be in your scheduled tour of mandatory stops! lol :)

  11. Your craft cave is so pretty and feminine, Deeyll. I know I probably say that every time! And your mind is one big beehive of activity, isn't it?! I'm too simple-minded for all and I am so envious of your talent bouncing between jewelry and cards and now crochet? Me, in awe. (Do I say that every time, too?!)

Have a great couple of weeks!! I won't be WOYWWing next week because I'll be in the kitchen prepping for Thanksgiving. All the best! Darnell #41

    1. I don't know if you say those things *every* time but I do know I love to hear compliments as often as possible! :) I also don't know if its talent to wander between crafts as I do or just ADHD! lol Will miss you at WOYWW next, but I understand about the cooking...hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving. :)

Confession: Bought two more 12x12 pads this week...but one was only $5.99! You know that was too good a deal to pass up! :)

  14. Hi - thanks for your visit... Yes, the cargo case is pretty much the best present ever! I just bought some cheap gesso, and it's pretty gloopy, but you can mix it with water to get a thinner wash if you want it more see through. I love using it thick for texture or thinned out to get a whitewash effect over bright paper. Very useful!
